Servant/Master

Out of all the extraordinary things Jesus did while he walked the earth, there is nothing more subtle yet powerful an act as he did then when he washed the disciples feet.

The best way i can explain this powerful action is by a song and it first few verses that tells us who Jesus is:

Above all powers
Above all kings
Above all nature
And all created things
Above all wisdom
And all the ways of man
You were here
Before the world began
Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders
The world has ever known
Above all wealth
And treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure
What You're worth

GOD put on an apron and got on his knees and washed his disciples feet! GOD willingly became a slave.

Jesus said that he was doing this and that it would be rememebered by them.
I do believe they always remembered.

No matter how powerful and mighty they knew they were with his power, they were also reminded that they are not above their master, by the simple act of the washing thier feet.

In that simple act Gods heart was revealed. And he did it willingly and he wants us to be reminded that if we call ourselves his followers we are to do the same.

I guess knees are not only used for praying, they are also used to serve.

hmmm....reminds me of the story of his brother James...what did they say he had? camel knees???
