SISTERS OF EPHESUS

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

i wrote this poem for a women's class i am taking. we are studying the book of ephesians

Sisters join hands and light your lamps
Braid your hair
Wash your hands
Sing your song for
The One we long for
Comes riding on the dawn

He has come to bring us peace
To make the many one
Let war and anger and fighting cease
O sisters come

Join hands and walk with me
In His path
All are free
Have no fear for
He is here for
To cast out shadows with His love

Join hands stand firm in faith
He will wash with water
Blot out stains
Presented Holy for
Our bridegroom fully for
A fragrant sacrifice

He has come to bring us peace
To make the many one
Let war and anger and fighting cease
O sisters come

With His mystery
You’ll be discovering
I heard you whispering
Of recovery
No longer infants for
The war is over

We stepped from the sea
Firm land beneath our feet
Speaking truth indeed
The captive’s been set free

We are now possessed by His love
Clothed by His grace

Armed by our faith

Wake up daughter dear
Rise from the dead
Christ will shine on you
Just like the prophets said

You’re a child of truth and a child of light
Rest in His peace
There is no need to fight

There is no need to fight

He has come to bring us peace
To make the many one
Let war and anger and fighting cease
O sisters come

O sisters come

And sing
You fill me
With full measure
You fill everything in every way
